Spring Fever Strikes!

The kids are running around our yard, rejoicing in the warmth of the sun. After the incredibly snowy winter we just bid adieu to, this is a welcome change. Butterflies are literally flitting about the yard in a seemingly choreographed dance celebrating renewal. What better time to welcome new babies?

My sisters, both younger than I, are expecting soon. It is a lovely feeling to be the auntie and not the mother of the two impending family members. I cannot wait to meet the unknown gendered child of my middle sister. She is pregnant with her third and is currently in the beginning stages of labor as I type this. She already has two boys and I'm secretly hoping that she gets a girl this time! Although, we will be joyful for another darling nephew if that is what the baby indeed is. Her first two boys are the cutest little things ever!

My youngest sister is finally pregnant with her first baby. She has been pregnant one time before, but miscarried the day that we buried our grandfather. The stress of grief and having to tell her husband was just too much, I think. Who knows. God has a reason for everything, I believe. This baby is an answer to my sister's prayers and I'm so excited to meet my little niece! She is due to make her grand entrance to this world in August, but I'm already stocking up on cute onesies and other girly must haves!

I also have a very dear friend who is expecting triplets this summer. Yes, I said triplets! You can read about her adventure on her blog, My Haiku. Marlie is already putting in her babysitting resume for the day she turns sixteen. We are all very excited to welcome this new season of rebirth and blossoming families, especially since it is no longer me doing the birthing.  Happy Spring, everyone!
