I've been blogging here for less than a year. However, I have been blogging long before blogging was the cool thing to do. I started blogging as an outlet for my stress and a way to document my memories of motherhood. Lord knows that the early days of motherhood are blurred by sleepless nights and chaotic days. My blog was a place to jot down my frustrations and my joys. It was a private little corner of the internet where nary a soul visited. Over the years, friends and family came by to catch up on our family mishaps and the latest pregnancy news.
Time flew by and more babies were born. The blog I named Seven Seeds, became more of a place for me to poke fun at my feelings of inadequacy and shortcomings. More people learned of my blog and the posting became more frequent. My husband laughed at my newfound source of therapy, at first. Then he realized how much it helped me cope and that it actually helped others feel more normal, as well.
I renamed the blog "Womb At The Innsane" to more accurately reflect the content and our life as a large family. During the filming of Supernanny, Jo learned of my blog and we read some of the posts together. She laughed at my take on mediocre parenting and saw the need to teach me to take pride in what I did. Jo really encouraged me to keep blogging in effort to help other moms feel connected. I took her advice and grew Womb At The Innsane (W.A.T.I.) into a place that delivers daily anecdotes and raw scraps of mind matter.
Womb At The Innsane is not always the picture perfect blog. It is not full of happy thoughts and Martha Stewart craft ideas. I rant, I rave and sometimes curse. It is an accurate reflection of my life. I am so thrilled to be incorporating W.A.T.I. with this very site. It will give you the opportunity to see more of who I am, what brought me to this place and what keeps me wishing I could have Jo here to help me every single day! I hope that you enjoy your stay at the Innsane, right here within Supernanny.com.
