Chapman family update…

The recent Supernanny episode involving the Chapman family was unique in that Ricochet was initially contacted by the teenage children, not the parents. But once contact was made, standard procedures that have been used in all other Supernanny episodes were followed. The production team had the full support of the parents and worked very closely with the entire family throughout filming.  

Ricochet presented the Chapman family's situation in a fair and objective manner, as we always strive to do. By the time we finished filming, there were clear and significant signs of improvement in the relationships between the parents and their teenage daughters, and both girls stopped home schooling and were enrolled in a public high school.

As with every family on our show, counseling is mandated, and there is follow up by a psychologist once filming is complete. If additional counseling is needed, the producers assist the family in finding an appropriate provider.  We sincerely hope that the improvements initiated during the filming will continue in the future.
