Supernanny Foxy Dad of the Year
Our mailbox was packed with entries for our Foxy Dad of the Year competition – so we turned to season 3’s Foxy Dad,
Brian McAfee, to help us narrow it down and pick a winner. So after a quick thanks to our sponsor,
Ameriwrap, here are our lovely top dads… Did we make the right choice? Tell us in the
Forum...
FOXY DAD OF THE YEAR: Eddy Rogalski, St Michael, MN
My husband Eddy is the World’s Best Dad as far as I’m concerned. Even though he works full time, he’s also volunteer fire fighter as well – but that doesn’t take time away from our sons: Will, 3, Wyatt, 2, and Ben, 9 months. Eddy has always gotten up in the middle of the night with them to either feed them or just rock them – and any mom will tell you that there’s nothing better than seeing the man you love in a rocking chair with your precious baby cradled in his arms! He’s also a tremendous help around the house: he cleans, does laundry and COOKS! In fact, he’s better at it all than I am… I love him with all my heart and I couldn’t have asked for a better husband and father for my children! Becky Rogalski
And three cheers for the runners-up…
Ben Brand, White Bear Lake, MN
In college, my friends wanted a carbon copy of him. Now, our friends’ husbands want to be more like him! In addition to being the breadwinner Ben cooks, cleans, does laundry and takes out garbage without having to be asked and without complaining! He takes care of our daughter and of me too, giving me back and foot rubs whenever I need them (again, with no complaints!). But the best part about him is that he never gives up on his family. If problems arise, he works through them with a willing heart. He is the best husband and daddy anyone could ask for! Amy Brand
Justin Pritchard, Jacksonville, FL
My husband of six years, Justin, is a wonderful
husband and the best father to our 4-year-old son, Ryan. Over the last four
years, Justin has changed diapers, cooked meals, cleaned the house, and so
much more. He has even held down the fort at home while I traveled out of
town for up to four days on more than one occasion. Justin has worked hard to
support us financially and emotionally. He held down two jobs for two years
and was even a stay-at-home dad for a year while I worked. Justin runs
errands for me when needed to the grocery store, dry cleaner, bank… in addition, he spends quality time with Ryan on a daily basis. Currently,
Justin is with Ryan in the morning while I work and then he goes to work in the
afternoon until late evening. Without the unconditional love and continuous
support of my husband, we would not be where we are today. The best part is
that he does everything with love – Ryan and I
are truly blessed. Oh, and he's cute too…! Michelle Pritchard
Rob Freeman, Denmark, WI
My husband is definitely a hero to our family. In spite of the fact that he grew up without a regular father figure around the house, he’s the most amazing dad and husband. He’s just as likely to clean up the kitchen, get dinner ready or start the laundry as I am. He’s right there willing to change his schedule to stay home with a sick child if I can’t get away from my job. It’s amazing to watch him playing with our son, running around the house pretending to be an airplane or doing that silly wrestling thing they do! If you were to step foot in our house, you would walk into laughter, silliness and love. I am truly blessed to have him as my husband and the father of our child. He is the most devoted and committed man I've ever known – when I am weak, he is strong; when I am impatient, he is calm; and when I need a break, he takes over with no questions asked. Thank you for the opportunity to share him with you. Sherry Freeman
Jay Frizzelle, Augusta, VA
Jay is my oh-so lovely husband of four years. After only being married for a little over a year, we found out we were pregnant... what a surprise! Jake was born and then within a year, we were pregnant again! There’s nothing Jay would not do to help me, including getting up at 5am to workout so he can be at home to help me get the kids ready to go to the babysitters in the morning. He also helps cook and clean, and does whatever else I might need him to do at night. Lorna Frizzelle
