Make a Christmas snow globe

Easy kids’ Christmas snow globe

Christmas crafts are great for kids but why stop at paper chains? This home-made snow globe is easy to make and will be a lovely seasonal decoration for years to come – you could even get your child to make them as gifts for Grandma and Grandpa!

You’ll need…

• Glass screwtop jar (an empty jelly jar is ideal)
• Liquid dish detergent
• Distilled water (easy to get at the drugstore or grocery)
• Glycerin (at the drugstore or craft store)
• Waterproof glue
• Glitter
• Small holiday figure decoration

What to do…

• Glue the holiday figure decoration to the inside of the jar lid and leave to dry overnight if necessary.
• Pour distilled water into the jar.
• Add 2 tsp glycerin and ½ tsp detergent.
• Add 5-6 tsp glitter to the water.
• Screw on lid as tight as possible.
• Turn it upside down and give it a shake!
